After several recent heartbreaks with our cows, there was joy at last...
In late July, Brownie, one of our Karnataka cows, gave birth to a female calf. The father was a Bargur bull we had at the time, and the calf had the typical brown/white splotches of the Bargur cow.
Brownie had a long and difficult labour, and we are so thankful one of our good friends, a doctor (the human kind), was with us that morning. With some guidance via phone from a vet, she intervened at the right time and helped deliver the female calf.
